Update One Loft Races

Last weekend the finals of the Great Derby Algarve and the Algarve Golden Race. We traveled back a few days to Portugal and have had a very good and pleasant time. We had 15 in the battle of the Golden Race and 7 at the Great Derby.
In the semi-finals of the Golden Race we were 23 again with a child Alonso x Saviola. This also was 4th after ace, and that made it more exciting.

On Thursday we arrived, then it was 'Basketing day'. Friday's final of the Great Derby Saturday and the finals of the Golden Race.

In the Algarve generally blowing a southerly sea thus experienced the pigeons against a nice breeze. However, during the final Friday of the Great Derby (420 km) it was virtually absent. As a result it was somewhat easier final race and always got great teams 10-15 birds at once. Not necessarily something for our pigeons, which can offer something more difference with heavier flights. We were eventually also 267th and gave us somewhat disappointing.

The focus was therefore advance to the finals of the big Algarve Golden Race, then certainly. We stood there finally 4th ace and had a nice group of pigeons in the fight. This final (505 km) was quite different; 85 km and this time headwind. A hard and fair finale. on day 1 came 391 pigeons, of the 3522 ingekorfden. From what 2 our. on location 134 in 373. Unfortunately, we do not Asduifje, but again 2 from our favorite couple Alonso x Saviola. Ultimately very satisfied with this rather top prizes in the finals, because there were many big names that no single pigeon had home. It was also confirmed by anyone that the weather was good and fair race.

All in all we had a good experience so again in these races, especially in the large Algarve Golden Race:

In particular, the torque falls to Alonso x Saviola. And we had thus discovered a new top couple for the One Loft races. Because do not forget, Last year was the 18th in the final even from this couple.
It is also a blend of our best racing lines, namely: Olympic Amador son with daughter Vardy x Fortuna. Pigeons are tough and head can fly, and it shows.
Now our focus is on the One Loft races, We are very happy with.
